Ten Three Labs Perfume Haul

I ordered these October 6th 2015 and received them on October 23rd 2015, it took me this long to review them because the ten three labs site was closed and so I couldn't get the scent list.

Sadly Ten Three Labs has chosen to discontinue these scents, they will be available for a short time until the stock is gone. Shop opens back up either end of July 2016 or sometime in August 2016. They are also discontinuing their shadows and will only carry perfumes and lip balms once their eye shadow stock is sold. If Phantasmagoria continues it will be the only way to get the eye shadows and saucebox sheens.

For my birthday my sister gave me some money towards an indie purchase. After a lot of thought I decided to go with my first indie love Ten Three Labs, I've loved everything from Phantasmagoria so I figured I'd delve into her general catalog. Sadly this was after she dc'd quite a few things including Morgue Water ='( alas I will never have dead lips. Sadness aside I got quite a bit of stuff during her October sale. I will be reviewing the eight perfume samples today and at some point when I'm not being a lazy bugger I'll swatch the shadows, along with the other two companies I've been meaning to swatch since last year. Enough about my laziness and onward to the smellies!

Chocolate Mint: Marshmallows flavored with chocolate and mint.
What it smells like in the bottle: mint & chocolate
What it smells like on me: mint & chocolate, but slightly richer like if you were to hold a chocolate mint in your mouth and let it slowly melt. I don't get any marshmallow but it's sweet enough on it's own to not need it.

I really wish this scent lasted longer on me than it does because I adore it so. I am completely obsessed with mint & chocolate to the point where I needed to douse myself in a perfume that smells exactly like it. The longevity of this perfume on me is around three hours or so, which is a shame really because most of the Ten Three Labs perfumes last 10+ hours on me. Oh well at least I can enjoy it while it lasts.

Duke: Maple and apple bacon, cornbread, sweet birch.
What it smells like in the bottle: male guinea pig/rabbit marking piss
What it smells like on me: male guinea pig/rabbit marking piss

I really wanted to like this one but my nose says no bueno. Sadly I think the cornbread/salty smell is just too overpowering for my nose and after letting it sit for 9 months it still smells almost exactly the same so I might have to destash this at some point.

Fell: Moss, kelp, water lilies and sugar cookies.
What it smells like in the bottle: water, green plants, a dark floral scent with a hint of sweetness
What it smells like on me: wet: green plants with a hint of dark floral and sweetness dry: dark sweet floral with a hint of green

This one used to smell heavily of sugar cookies, and for a very long time it was the only scent I could smell. 9 months later and it has transformed into this dark perfume with a subtle hint of sweetness from the cookies. I think the moss, kelp, and water lilies really blend nicely together the sharp green scents mellow out when mixed with the floral of the water lilies creating this dark evocative scent profile. Then you have this subtle sweetness that brings everything back down and grounds everything. This feels like something you would wear out shopping, to work, or to a nice outdoor date. It's mature but playful enough for a mid to late 20-something.

New Salem: Cacao absolute, labdanum absolute, burnt earth, spiced apples.
What it smells like in the bottle: a fall potpourri
What it smells like on me: wet: spiced apples, earth, and something dark I can't put my finger on dry: spiced apples & smoke

This makes me think of the fall, it makes me want to put on warm clothes go to an orchard to pick apples. Wet on my skin it smells heavily of spiced apples with a faint scent of earth and something a little darker. On dry down it's a heady marriage of spices and smoke with the faint scent of sweet crisp apple. It smells like a wood burning stove baking an apple pie and I adore it.

Not Beth: Leather, tobacco, smoke, blood orange, osmanthus.
What it smells like in the bottle: sweet leather
What it smells like on me: wet: sweet warm leather dry: sweet warm leather, tobacco and smoke

Have you ever gotten into a car with leather seats after it's been sitting in the sun for a little while? That is what this smells like but add an interesting sweet scent to the mix and you have Not Beth. I get hints of tobacco and smoke but they aren't as prevalent as the leather and the sweetness. I can smell the orange but I'm having a hard time discerning the rest of the sweet smell, it's sweet but not sweet so it's throwing me for a loop. It almost smells like a slightly ripe plum. I really like this scent's dry down it's strange but familiar. I think this is a wear it if you feel like it scent for days when you don't care and you want to be a rebel.

Resurgence: Vetiver, Spanish moss, swamp mud, and honeysuckle.
What it smells like in the bottle: wet florals
What it smells like on me: powdery florals

This is what I imagine a princess would smell like. When you think of perfume this is what comes to mind, it is incredibly powdery and floral. I enjoy the scent and wear it on dates or occasions where I'm going to be outside. I like this scent but not enough to warrant a FS purchase.

Thunder: soggy grass in a rainstorm, electrified air, honeysuckle.
What it smells like in the bottle: sweet soapy ozone
What it smells like on me: wet: wet grass and honeysuckle dry: soapy wet grass and honeysuckle

This is a interesting scent, it tends to lean more soapy than fresh and it has a hint of sweetness to it. I have the original Supercell from Sixteen92 and Thunder doesn't really smell like it at all. Thunder is a lot sweeter and less earthy but it still kind of has the ozone/wet smell. Thunder is okay but it doesn't last very long on me and when it dries down you almost have to have your wrist all the way your nose to smell something. I don't think I would make a FS purchase of this.

We've Come for Your Daughter: Cool winds through a cemetery, mourning bouquets of lilies, violets, roses, and lilacs, fresh grassy notes, graveyard dirt, hints of vanilla tobacco.
What it smells like in the bottle: Something like cool air, flowers mostly lilacs a hint of dirt and tobacco
What it smells like on me: wet: tobacco, dirt, the cool air scent, hint of flowers dry: cool air, flowers, dirt, and a hint of tobacco

I love this scent! It's dark and mellow and embodies it's description perfectly. I could bathe in this stuff and I'm so sad I couldn't snag a FS. This is my absolute favorite Ten Three Labs scent and I really hope it makes a come back at some point. It is the perfect blend and it goes so well with my skin chemistry. It last fairly long and has an okay throw.
